Griffith Park Rally '06

Hi Chris, My name is Ron Sowter and I have been getting your magazine for many years. Imagine my surprise when I got home from the Griffith Park sidecar rally and my new HACK'd came in the mail! Fall 2006 had pictures from the 2005 Griffith Rally! It was almost one year to the day later!

I'm sending you pictures I took at the 2006 Griffith Rally. As you will see many sidecars came in 2006 also.

In the picture's I sent you there is a picture of my rig. It's a 1998 ACE Honda Green and creme with a black Watsonian. I bought that sidecar new from Doug Bingham in 1982. It's been on two Hondas and a BMW. The sidecar has well over 100,000 miles on it!

I met Doug Bingham in 1976 when I bought a used Bingham sidecar from him. That Bingham was on five different bikes. I made all the mounts myself.

I took pictures of all the scooter sidecars at the rally, you don't see too many scooter sidecars out here in California.

My first ride was a Powell Motorscooter my dad bought me in 1954, it was blue and I've never stopped riding since then. In 2004 I bought a new Suzuki Burgman 650 motorscooter, it's also blue, who says you can't relive your youth!

Ron Sowter, Side Hacker!

Thank you Ron! These pics are great! It gives those who are unable to attend the rally a great view of the happening!
Doug Bingham has done a wonderful job of promoting sidecars over the years and continues. This rally is only one of the aspects of his energy for sidecars.

Remember to tell them you
saw it at www.hackd.com !!!
