22nd June in ENGLAND The Banbury Run, www.banbury-run.co.uk , which will take place on 22nd June 2008 will be the 60th Banbury Run, our Diamond Jubilee. One way we are celebrating this milestone is to increase the entry list to SIX HUNDRED, all pre 1931 machines. Should be some sight. We also have a new venue. Drayton School is undergoing extensive building work so next year’s Run will be at the Motor Heritage Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire, www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk . There is more space at the HMC than Drayton School thus allowing us run the extra 100 machines. There will also be more room for the Autojumble (Swapmeet) and there is overnight camping on site. If anyone is coming over to the UK the 22nd June will be a very good day to come.

Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance
Rochester Hills, Michigan
August 3, 2008
www.meadowbrookconcours.org
In 2007, the Meadow Brook Concours featured antique motorcycles for this first time in its 29 year history. The motorcycle class was limited to four cylinder models, of which we had 40 on display; Cleveland, Ace, Henderson, Indian, Munch, Nimbus and more. For 2008, we will continue with featuring motorcycles and are putting together a display of (mainly) prewar sidecar rigs - civilian AND commercial.
I’m certain that many of your readers own antique rigs of some vintage and make and am hoping you would consider putting a note about our event on your website. As noted, I am looking for civilian and commercial rigs, Steibs alongside mechanics rigs, etc. would make for a wonderful display, and getting as much information out to prospective participants and attendees as soon as possible would be helpful.

August 26-August 30, 2008. This year, The Curve Cowboy Reunion, which is a Chapter 501(c) 3 Corporation, will be holding its 9th annual BMW K1200LT Rally at Zermatt Resort, in Midway, UT, http://www.curvecowboyreunion.com/. We are an Internet group consisting of K1200LT riders whose membership is approximately 13,000 people who all purchase your merchandise. Also, as part of this rally we will be holding our annual silent auction on Thursday evening, August 28, 2008. We are expecting an attendance of approximately 700 people from all over the United States, and we will be donating all monies raised at this auction to a children’s charity. For more information about our event (including the 3 page article from the June, 2005 issue of Rider Magazine), please see our press releases page at http://www.curvecowboyreunion.com/press.htm. Each year 100% of the proceeds from our auction are donated to a local children’s charity, located in the area where the Rally is held. We choose a charity that is not funded by various levels of government nor receive large grants from other groups. As of the close of our 2007 event, Curve Cowboy Reunion has donated over $100,000.00 to various needy children’s organizations. In 2007, we donated $22,000.00 to, Camp David of the Ozarks, a free summer camp for children of prisoners who are at risk and in need of hope. In the past years we have donated to children’s charities such as The Treehouse, Barrow County Advocacy, which is involved in the care, counseling and welfare for battered, abused and sexually abused children and their families, Focus on Success, a group dedicated to at-risk middle schoolers to prevent substance abuse and provide life skills for success. We have also donated to Tame Foundation, which provides equine/human interaction therapy for disturbed and autistic children. Also among the list are Boys and Girls Clubs, The Summit Foundation and Interact.
